Abstract

With this project, we aim to analyze, in the light of the discursive theory proposed by Michel Pêcheux and his successors, some exhibitions of the Museum of Tomorrow (hereafter MA), recently inaugurated and become a tourist spot in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Mobilizing the concepts of subject, file, memory and discursive event, we try to study some points that instigated us soon of exit in relation to this discursive space: i. The effects of choosing this name - Tomorrow - for the said museum; Ii. The discursiveness inscribed in the great urban sculpture proposed as an architectural project of the MA; Iii. The voice of thematic expositions and also of the curatorship, besides the slides of senses put to each exposed theme; Iiii. The way in which the institutional voice of the MA - whose archive is built largely by technology - sets up (or not) entertainment, interactivity or spectacle effects among readers. The corpus will be made up of clippings of exhibitions and permanent collection, promoted between 2015, 2016 and 2017, which will be visited, photographed and documented in face-to-face visits of the researcher. We try to reflect on the unfolding of the discursive archive, the functioning of memory and the constitution of the institutional voice in museum spaces as we have already been researching in relation to the Museum of the Portuguese Language, now having another thickness of object at stake - the museum that Future time.
