Abstract
The intense and rapid economic and social changes that pervade the world of work have required the various actors in this scenario the massive investment in continuous learning processes that enable the constant qualification. In this context, distance education (DE) is considered as a viable possibility in building mechanisms that promote learning and continuous and lifelong skills. Moreover, being mediated by information and communication technologies (ICT) is fully usable in higher education institutions, the corporate and open environment, since it enables educational events design focused on specific situations and to broaden and democratize access to training opportunities. It is observed in the literature the lack of systematic evaluations of training at different levels and small production technology in evaluation of training in ODL mode. In this scenario, the discussion on the evaluation of educational activities in the distance, Internet-mediated, and the systematization of knowledge on the subject, is extremely important. Given previous research agendas, the overall objective of this project is to measure the effectiveness of distance learning courses, especially those offered by the Internet, using as independent variables customer characteristics, reactions of the participants to the course and contextual variables.
