Abstract
The state of São Paulo is the largest exporter of beef in Brazil, with the third largest in slaughter. This expansion leads to important issues of several aspects, mainly related to working conditions, which cooperated for the publication of Regulatory Norm 36, which deals with Occupational Safety and Health in Slaughter and Meat and Derivatives Processing.Objective: This project proposes to analyze and to construct, within the ergonomic perspective, different scenarios for implantation of casters in the sector of slaughtering in refrigerator, following the guidance of Regulatory Norm 36.Methodology: The research will be carried out in the slaughtering sector of a refrigerator located in the city of Presidente Prudente / SP. It will use the knowledge of action research and will be developed in the following phases: Phase 1) Demand analysis; 2) Diagnosis and Analysis of Slaughter Activity; Phase 3) Coconstruction of the caster system; Phase 4) Training and Phase 5) Evaluation of transformations.Expected results: In the region where the study will be developed, the population of this working class is large, but scientific studies with such a population are scarce. The knowledge obtained will be important due to the fact that the city of Presidente Prudente is the headquarters of the 10th Administrative Region of the state of São Paulo, composed of 53 municipalities and a population of approximately 820 thousand inhabitants.It will be possible to assess whether the roll-out of specialized work processes will be enough to reduce absenteeism and physical complaints in the sector.
