Abstract

This request corresponds to support to the visiting researcher Dr. Jose Renato Pinto on MS-3 degree during the thirty days. The research has worked with cardiac function study and cardiomyocyte analysis in vitro on experimental hypertrophic cardiomyopathy models. Moreover, current molecular biology techniques show to be other expertise's target of the visitor, e.g. next-generation DNA sequencing and proteomics. In this regarding, there is a facility in his laboratory. Therefore, its participation as a visiting researcher will fortify the current experiments in our lab, enhance collaboration with researchers from outside Brazil, result in better international visibility of developing projects and facilitate the internationalization of post-graduate students and researchers to the USA. A critical issue is that the visiting researcher will be collaborating in the development of two research projects funded by FAPESP (grant numbers: 15/11028-9, 15/14239-0, respectively) and a project promoted by CNPq (grant number: 404702/2016-3). It should be stated the additional activities of the visiting researcher's: (i) participation in meetings and research seminars in our unit; (ii) performing a class in our post-graduate program; (iii) meetings with researchers from UNIFESP, in precise, with the Professor Dr. Paulo José Ferreira Tucci, a pioneer in cardiac function studies in the Brazil.
