Abstract

The purpose of this proposal is to seek funding in support of a Visiting Researcher to ICB/USP, Professor Da-Zhi Wang from the Department of Cardiology at Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. The main objective of the visit is to advance research in the areas of microRNAs and long-non coding RNAS with focus on the skeletal and cardiac muscles development, function and disease. Prof. Wang is a renowned researcher in this field and during the visit, he will collaborate and act as a reviewer of research project involving microRNAs (2015/24789-8) and master and doctoral projects. The visiting professor will also visit Department of Anatomy at ICB, Department of Biodynamic at EEFE-USP and UNESP, where he will meet actual collaborators of him to discuss results from project in development. Direct benefits of this visit are expected for the research projects described, as well as to establish new partnerships. (AU)
