Abstract

In the case of this project, we can consider that the pylon is an adapter wings to turbine aircraft. It is a part of the utmost importance of aircraft, for the adaptation of the wings and the turbines have to be 100% perfect not to put at risk aircraft. The Pan-Metal will make the assembly of the pylon of the E-175E2 aircraft. This activity is performed only in Brazil by Embraer, never another supplier was responsible for performing this activity, and we have already been approved by Embraer to mechanical assemblies, which is the case. If the Pan Metal not spearhead this project, unfortunately, such activity will have to be transferred abroad, and this is not convenient for our country, both financially and technologically, on the other hand, this project which will surely be a success, will open the doors of our company and also for other Brazilian suppliers, since approved, for the assembly of new parts of Embraer aircraft and also outside of the aircraft, bringing foreign exchange to Brazil and job growth in the domestic market. We need for financial assistance to support this project development costs in engineering area, manufacture and assembly jigs, tooling costs and improvement of labor (courses). Development engineering of assembly jigs; the jig must be designed in a way that maintains 100% repeatability of mounting pylons. Assembly jigs have to be made according to the project made by engineering, for each pylon has to be made 04 assembly jigs (still under review). Tools are made up of drills, riveters, screwdrivers and generally cutting tools. Labor will take theoretical and practical courses and a six-month internship at Embraer own. (AU)
