Abstract

LegalBot is a startup that supports financial industry to operate in compliance. We developed and launched an IT solution based on sophisticated algorithms that controls the regulatory workflow inside the company, providing productivity and user experience. Apparently, other highly regulated industries face similar challenges and could benefit from the insights developed. This viability study aims to go deeper into these sectors to better understand the feasibility of this approach. At this point, a partnership with FAPESP would bring a number of benefits for both parties: (i) the possibility of launch a work stream in parallel to leverage regulatory intelligence in other industries; (Ii) strengthening the interaction with academia, providing the expertise needed to go to these industries; (Iii) acceleration on research and innovation, transferring the know-how acquired in the financial industry for the other ones; and (iv) integration with industries participating in FAPESP ecosystem.
