Abstract

This project aims to analyze the technical-scientific feasibility of an educational solution associated with a mobile application that expands the capacity of zoos to attend a diverse audience, including people with disabilities, with the promotion of quality actions of environmental education. Hence, the project proposes a research in the area of environmental education to develop a learning object model mediated by a mobile application. The research will have as theoretical reference the philosophical hermeneutics of Hans-Georg Gadamer and the dialogical pedagogy of Paulo Freire and will be performed based on participatory methodologies. Visitors (including people with disabilities), educators and zoo staff will be invited to indicate their demands and pedagogical and technological needs in a participatory diagnosis. An application prototype will be drawn from these results. Therefore, the educational solution resulting from this research and development process will present a value proposition both for zoos and for the audience directly involved in educational actions. This value proposition addresses a current and growing demand from society to promote environmental conservation and also the inclusion of people with disabilities in educational processes. (AU)
