Abstract

The diagnosis in psychiatry is complex due to the absence of biological and neuroimaging markers. Thus, the use of standardized instruments of evaluation are of great importance for the correct diagnosis in this area, especially with regard to reliability. Thus, considering: a) the importance of the Clinical Structured Interview for DSM (SCID) to perform clinical diagnoses in psychiatry, especially in the context of research; And b) updating the diagnostic classification in psychiatry with the introduction of DSM-5, the present study is proposed, whose objectives are: 1) to translate and adapt culturally to Brazilian Portuguese SCID-5-RV and SCID-5 CV as well as to carry out the psychometric study of these versions in a sample of psychiatric patients; 2) to develop videos for the training of researchers and clinicians in the use of the instrument. To meet objective 1, a sample of 150 inpatient or outpatient psychiatric patients will be used in the Clinical Hospital of the Medical School of Ribeirão Preto - USP, which will be evaluated through SCID-5 in their different versions. This interview will be done recorded and will subsequently be evaluated by a second evaluator to study inter-rater reliability. To evaluate the test-retest reliability, about 70 subjects will be selected by lot to participate in a second interview to be conducted by a third evaluator, about 7 to 30 days after the first interview. Subjects will also complete the DSM-V Dimensional Scale of Symptoms and the Disability Assessment Scale to study the concurrent validity of the different modules. The data will be evaluated statistically, with the help of SPSS statistical software. The significance level will be adopted for all analyzes of p <0.05. To meet objective 2, didactic materials will be developed, based on recordings of interviews conducted by experienced researchers in patients with different clinical diagnoses (N = 10). (AU)
