Abstract

The need for scientific and technological institutions (ICTs) to generate de facto innovations is increasing, both with regard to the need to improve the management of scarce resources available and the importance that these institutions have in Brazil's industrial property portfolio. In order to do so, it is necessary to invest in qualified resources to protect technologies by analyzing the requirements for granting patents, such as the assessment of novelty, inventive activity and industrial application of technology, but mainly by mapping the possible key markets for technology, Markets that are often the target of the international extension of the patent application. In this context, the present project aims to strengthen the protection of the portfolio of technologies developed at the Federal University of ABC by its teachers, students and researchers, creating the necessary conditions for the technologies to be effectively protected, thereby Productive sector for commercial use of the same reaching society positively through innovation with the offer of innovative products, processes and services and thus fostering regional and national economic development. The actions foreseen in the project take into account the items that can be financed (costs for the search of patents, costs for preparation, filing and follow-up of the application for registration and costs of international extension of registrations and their national phases in each country) and Sum, are: 1) Selection of technologies for receiving resources from this project, according to methodology and activities foreseen in item 6. 2) Contracting company specialized in Intellectual Property with great technical capacity and experience to: provide the services of: Search for priorities to gauge the state of the art; Preparation and drafting of the full descriptive report of the patent application, including drawings and annexes; 3) Costing of the administrative fees of the National Institute of Industrial Property - INPI and the World Intellectual Property Organization - WIPO.
