Diversity of zooplankton in relation to conservation and degradation of the aquatic ecosystems in the state of São Paulo

Abstract

The project is aimed at analysis of the zooplanktonic biodiversity and its relationship with the trophic of the continental aquatic systems in the state of São Paulo. It is intended to establish relationships between diversity, organic pollution and toxic substances. Great emphasis will be given to the study of the taxonomy, biology, physiology and ecology of the main zooplanktonic groups: Protozoa, Rotifera, Clarocera e Copepoda. Transfer of the scientific knowledge to the general public, through the involvement of the Project, with the 1st and 2nd grade educational system. (AU)
