Abstract

In this work the linear analysis of building floor structures will be performed by formulations of the boundary element method applied to stiffened plates. The building floor is considered as a zoned domain plate, where each sub-domain represents a slab or a beam. From the formulations applied to stiffened plates subject to simple bending, in which the variables were defined along the interfaces and the external boundary, it has been obtained an alternative model where the displacement vector related to the beam interfaces were translated to the skeleton line. Then it has been introduced the membrane effects, being adopted two approximations for the tractions related to the beams interfaces: constant and linear, which leads to two different formulations for the stretching-bending problem. In the proposed work these formulations both for simple bending and stretching-bending analysis will be extended to incorporate columns in the building floor. Finally, numerical examples existent in the literature should be considered in order to verify the potentiality of the formulations.
