Abstract

The urea is one of the most utilized fertilize in the country due to its high N content, low equipment corrosion, high solubility and competitive costs. The 15N labeled molecule can elucidate a series of processes in the soil-plant system. The 13C labeled urea represents an excellent alternative for diagnostics of infections caused by the helicobacter pylori bacteria, presenting a non invasive method in substitution of detection methods by biopsy. The project proposes to establish a method for urea labeled with 15N isotope (1 to 90% of 15N atoms) and/or with 13C (10 to 99% of 13C atoms) synthesis at a lower cost than FOB (0,5g = US$ 275 FOB). For the accomplishment of these objectives, the 15NH3 must be produced and the 13CO3 obtained together with the evaluation of the process parameters and total quality ones. It must be emphasized the development of a new technology inside the country which has not been disposed by the countries who already own it (considering the economic and most of the time, strategic aspects).
