Abstract Conceptual and technical aspects of noncommutative field theories will be investigated. The method of stochastic quantization will be applied to the construction of noncommutative field theories especially focusing the O(N) nonlinear sigma model whose formulation within the canonical approach meets serious difficulties. In the noncommutative context, quantum group methods will be applied to the study of symmetries and the effects of a possible breaking of the Lorentz invariance at the Plancks scale will be analyzed. | |
