Abstract

The objectives of this study are: to describe and analyze the international and national scientific productions that deal with the operationalization of the concept of social class in epidemiological studies. It constitutes a bibliographical survey of literature. It takes the Collective Health theoretical framework that has social class as subject in epidemiological studies. In this context, social class has being apprehended through variables constructed from the analytical category of social reproduction. Data analysis will, following the steps and indications of thematic analysis, mapping out the trends of the indicators composition in the epidemiological literature, as distributed in time and space. The analysis intends to understand which theoretical categories guide these compositions. (AU)
