Abstract

The objective of this research project is the development of a model and a computer program for the dynamic simulation and numerical studies of the severe slugging phenomenon, adding aspects that are important in petroleum production systems. The most important feature is the fluid characterization (oil, water and gas) using a homogeneous model for the liquid phases and a black oil model to take into account mass transfer between oil and gas. The project will be developed at Department of Mechanical Engineering of University of São Paulo. (AU)
