Abstract

Project Summary:Most current connectivity inference methods rely on sometimes unreasonable linearity assumption. This dissertation's intent is to investigate whether it is possible to overcome this limitation by directly examining the relationships between multiple neuro-electric signals through measures that describe the signals´s complexity and the propagation of such complexity from channel to channel. This propagation is to be evaluated via Granger causality inference methods as applied to the computed Approximate Entropy of the individual simultaneous signals. (AU)
