The identification and the control of the sources of lead pollution come being implemented, gradually, in the developed countries, with an intense performance of the ambient agencies and the public health, what it does not occur in Brazil, where the identification and the control are practically inexistent, revealing, in this way, necessary the identification of the sources of exposition to the metallic lead that are contaminating the children. Thus, the present research has the objective to investigate the exposition to the metallic lead in children and its relation with the socioeconomic, cognitive and quality of life factors. The study will be of the type cross-sectional, descriptive, exploratory, whose unit of observation will be the individual exposed to the metallic lead, using questionnaires as instruments of information collection, with convenience sampling, characterizing a quantitative approach. The geo-codification of the informers addresses will allow to carry through a local approach of the exposition in accordance with the theoretical bases of the geography, using, additionally, the participant observation in the respective domiciles, characterizing a qualitative approach of geographic space. Thus, we will go to get the indispensable information for a better knowledge of the reality of these children, in relation to this exposition, and the relation of these sources with some factors that can be causing individual and social problems for, in this way, to subsidize the agencies of public health and environment in the necessary actions of control.
