Abstract

The aim of this research is to investigate the convergence of the matrixes of Machado de Assis and Bertolt Brecht on the theatrical play Visões Siamesas written by Companhia do Latão. It intents to study the creative process of the play, as well as the concepts which found its dramaturgy and spots it on the scene of São Paulo.This project determined as its object the Companhia do Latão for its radicalization in form and issue, acting at once in reflecting and criticizing the society in which it is inserted and that is its main raw material - the Brazilian society. The play Visões Siamesas was chosen because it stands as the most elaborated play of the group, as well as to be considered a synthesis of its process of dramaturgical creation.
