Abstract

This study aims to research the use of art as an intermediate procedure for therapeutic monitoring of patients attending a Center for Psychosocial Care - CAPS. To use this research as a method for phenomenological analysis (Angela Ales Bello), psychoanalysis (Donald Winnicott) and hermeneutics (Gilberto Safra) of experience with patients with psychiatric disorders treated at the Center for Psychosocial Care - CAPS II - Discipline of Psychotherapy and Psicodinâmica Department of Psychiatry, Federal University of São Paulo and São Paulo Hospital for a course titled "Photo and Imaging", taught by the Museum of Modern Art of São Paulo - MAM, during the period February 2007 to November 2008. This time it was possible to observe behavioral changes due to psychological changes. The intention of this study is to reflect on these changes in the light of phenomenology, psychoanalysis and hermeneutics. Be prepared to end the free and informed consent for participation of the patients from UNIFESP and for IPUSP. It is a time of two years for the development and completion of this study.
