Abstract

This PhD project is focused at the study of the magnetic phase diagram fo single crystals of the system TR1-xPrxBa2Cu3O7-d, TR = Y, Gd, Er. Experimental techniques such as magneto-optical imaging, harmonic susceptibility and micro-Hall sensing will be employed. Good quality single crystals, grown by the flux method, are already available for the initial studies. Additioinal samples will be produced by the student along the development of his work, using the already existing infrastructure.
