Abstract

Several pathological conditions within the central nervous system (CNS) are often associated with a significant loss of neural cells. Parkinson's disease is the second most common neurodegenerative disorder and whose main characteristic is the loss of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra compacta. The influence of magnetic fields (MFs) in the biological system is a topic of great research in the scientific literature. Studies have demonstrated the intimate relation of CFs in the modulation of capacitative influx of Ca+ +, resulting in interference of the program of apoptosis and therefore increasing cell survival by inhibiting apoptosis. Thus, this study aims to advance knowledge that involves the interaction between the magnetic field and the phenomenon of apoptosis after neurotoxic injury in the substantia nigra compacta, their impact on the site of injury and the production of motor behavior. Materials and methods will be used 72 male Wistar rats, weighing between 280 and 320g. The animals will be divided into 6 groups (n = 12) Control Group, Group Sham, Group 6-OHDA, Group Sham Magnetic Field Stimulated Group South Pole, North Pole Group Encouraged and stimulated for 3 consecutive days and underwent behavioral assessment in fourth day of the experiment. After collecting the behavioral data the animals are perfused and their brains collected for histological and immunohistochemical Results: The histological, histochemical and behavioral activation will be analyzed by employing an analysis of one-way ANOVA (ANOVA) and differences between groups will be evidenced by the post-hoc Dunnett's.
