Abstract

The research proposal aims the asymmetric preparation of 5-substituted furan-2-ones in order to achieve the structural elucidation of the Stemona alkaloid parivestemoamide. We plan to employ methodologies based on organocatalyzed Michael reactions as well as those promoted by chiral auxiliaries and chiral catalysts
