Abstract

In this project we want to study the search and retrieval of an object in a video from a model. This model of the object is obtained from a given set of one or more images gives as example. We intend to propose and implement a solution based on hierarchical models of deformable shapes and apply the solution proposed in sports videos. An interest example would be to index all the frames of a soccer game that show the goalposts. The project involves the areas of image processing, image analysis and computer vision. Besides that, it has also a good number of real applications. This master's project will be developed in collaboration with Professor Roberto Hirata Jr.
