Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the flexural strength of two acrylic resins, and they wave and Cryl Lucitone, associated or not with a pigment (Poly-Color), the influence of thermocycling, disinfection and storage. The samples will be made through a metallic matrix with dimensions of 64x10x3, 3mm. 105 samples will be prepared for each resin, totaling 210 samples. The percentage of pigments will be weighed in an analytical balance (BEL Analytical Equipment, SP, Brazil) and they 3% and 7% of the weight of each sample. The samples will be tested as flexural strength before and after thermocycling, and after the storage period with disinfection, this will be done every 3 days for 60 days. Will be conducted three types of disinfection: Hypochlorite, Efferdent and Microwave Energy. Thus, each group of resin will be split between them. The test will be performed by thermocycling for 2,000 cycles, with alternating baths of 60 seconds to 5 ± 1 ° C and 55 ± 1 ° C. Data will be subjected to analysis of variance (ANOVA) with significance level of 5% in order to verify the existence of difference between variables.
