Abstract

The central theme of this dissertation is to think about the real and imaginary dimensions that are caused by sound efects in the cinematic representation of contemporary fiction. In films of fillmmaker Lucrecia Martel and the examples we will use throughout the paper, we intend to show how the use of ambient sounds can bring characters and viewers of the films by sensory perception of sound space.
