Abstract

This research project proposes an analysis about the dynamics of Brazilian airliners, aiming to understand the business activity of the major airlines operating at airports of Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Brasilia, which are the country's busiest. In this approach, competition is seen as the main component that promotes the formation of oligopolies and cooperative arrangements between these brazilian companies of the air transportation sector. The competition / cooperation is the core in strategies that allow major airliners corporations a market dominance. In ths purpose, from the analysis of business strategies in order to understand the process of configuring the Brazilian airliners, focusing on the stocks of companies that operate on the airports mentioned above, and inserting an empirical proposition of how these companies appear and position themselves against competitors and the implications resulting from this process. Therefore, we seek to verify the business dynamics, fluidity, fixed, business networks that shaped this sector, as well as spatial and economic implications of the actions of these Brazilian airline companies.
