Abstract

The present study aims at investigating the understanding of embracement as a work process and as a policy for access and resolubility undertaken in the context of the Family Health Strategy, according to users' perspectives. It is a qualitative explanatory study comprising 15 participants. Data collection will be conducted by means of non-structured interviews at the Family Health Unit in Jardim Iolanda, located in the city of Botucatu (SP). The research project will be submitted to the Research Ethics Committee (CEP), and informed consent will be obtained. The interviews will be recorded on digital medium and then fully transcribed. Data will be analyzed according to the Case Study method proposed by Yin (2010), and content analysis will be used based on the thematic representational approach proposed by Bardin (1997). Participant observation will be utilized an instrument to address empirical aspects, which will be organized according to the Flow Chart for the care model analysis of a health care service (MERHY, 2007). The theoretical framework will be analyzed in light of the Theory of Complexity (WHEATLEY, 2010). Key words: Family Health Program; Patient Embracement; Non-linear Dynamics; Qualitative Research.
