Abstract Considering the evident older people's growth and that the deficients also make part of this population, many times presenting so complex problems due to the few opportunities of a more active social inclusion, it is proposed for this study to characterize the older deficients and their caretakers' social-demographic and health conditions living in Marília, São Paulo. It is a descriptive study that will be carried out by interviews. To select samples eight Family Health Unit areas located in peripheral areas, and two Traditional Health Basic Unit that attend the population in the central area were chosen, performing 22% of total population in Marilia. The participants' location will be made by a health community agent. Data will be presented in graphics and tables, followed by description and analysis. The objective of this study is to contribute with data to make easier the adoption of public measures and the involvement of different social levels to face this population's specific problems | |
