Abstract

The research deals with the development of virtual instrumentation to assist in the on-line monitoring of the condition of roller bearings. The project to be developed will use hardware resources affordable and graphical programming resources in the implementation of robust techniques on signal processing of vibration. The techniques for assessing the state of roller bearings include tools for signal processing of time domain and frequency. In the performance evaluation of the system will be used test results to be obtained in experimental roller bearing test bench. The evaluation tests of the state of the bearings will be developed to characterize incipient faults in the inner race, in outer race, and in the balls of a set of roller bearings properly prepared.
