Abstract

This proposed work is based on the realization of the Work of Course Completion (TCC) and aims to give visibility to the movement of the Homelessness in their struggle for safeguarding the rights of this population in São Paulo via public social policies. To this end, efforts will show the importance that the MPR has to with this social segment in order to claim their rights, contribute to the discussion on the specificity and demands of the homeless population and working with the discussion on the social movements in social work. Will conduct interviews with the subjects in order to provide a closer approximation to reality and give voice to the subjects involved. As a radical expression of social issues, matters relating to the homeless population are gaining prominence, especially after the emergence of the National Movement of the Homelessness (MNPR). Therefore, the social worker as uncompromising defender of human rights, citizenship and as a professional in favor of equity and social justice (in direct line with the ethical-political project of Social Services) should be aware of the struggles involving the excluded and the marginalized of society.
