Abstract

The numerical simulation of high-speed turbulent compressible flows require special numerical techniques capable of calculating discrete spatial derivatives that can treat precisely shock waves and small-scale vortices. We plan to develop a high-order finite difference numerical method for structured grids capable of automatically adapting to the problem being solved, and validate it with its application to the 1D Euler equations.
