Abstract

This project of scientific initiation has the scope to examine the constitutional legal regulation produced during the constituent process in 87/88 regarding the ownership of the media, in order to investigate the constitutional prohibition of monopoly and oligopoly in the ownership of the media. The proposal considers that this prohibition is also, as a consequence, the sealing of monopolization and oligopolization in serving information, assuming a plural and diverse market. In this sense, will be revisited the constituent process to analyze projects and legislative debates that resulted in the current constitutional right of property of the media.
