Abstract

The present project aims to analyze the constitutive processes of rewriting the tradition and the reconstruction of Angola’s history in the novels AvóDezanove e o Segredo do Soviético, by Ondjaki, and O vendedor de Passados, by José Eduardo Agualusa, through the use of memory and postcolonial formulations, combined in their fictional tissues, as effective tools for thinking about the reconstruction of the recent past in the cultural history of Angola.
