Abstract

Monitoring structures, studying the same displacements and deformations due to the action of certain actions is one of the most important study in Civil Engineering. Different methods of data collection and analysis of results have been repeatedly tested in order to obtain answers more and more close to reality and with a higher degree of reliability. The monitoring of structures is still bound to a study of structural behavior, which can be theoretical or numerical, and characteristics of materials as well as the calibration techniques and equipment installation meters. This study aims at understanding the process of collecting signals in fiber optic transducers installed in the laboratory and into their analysis, can thus underpinning the behavior of structures.
