Abstract The proposal of the present project of Master's degree in philosophy is to research the concept of Super-ego in Freud regarding its formation within the process of children's development, including the moral constitution of its content and the consequences of its design - such as the possible formation of psychopathologies, especially neurosis and pervertion, and the relation between subject and socio-cultural normativity. For that purpose, we shall address the parent's educational role, which mirrors the instance of Super-ego itself in the moral and social formation of the children, creating the link between ontogenesis and phylogenesis within the ethical scope of the freudian theory. Our aim is to question the civilizing effort as cause of psychopathologies, while it is differentiated from reality - which is shown as independent from moral content and sexual drives. That is how we shall reach the therapeutic effort of psichoanalysis, source of an active rebuilding of oneself that transforms the world when transforming the subjective attitude towards its desires into a new relation with reality as a new sense of action and transformation of the self.
