Abstract

This work aims to historicize the contemporary debate of digital technologies as technologies of collective intelligence and freedom, analyzing the implications of the emergence of these in production and distribution of knowledge. To do so, takes as a case study the GNU (GNU's Not Unix) project, that comes into this debate by advocating for free software and free knowledge as a whole. (AU)
