Abstract

This project proposes to research the exercise of power from involvement in illicit activities, mediated by gender. The specific object of analysis is the involvement of women with drug trafficking and the links between such involvement and the glimpse of positions of power. It is proposed that women who engage in drug trafficking activities perceive it as a place that allows the exercise of power, even though this exercise is mediated by the conventions of gender and the lower positions that are usually occupied by women traffickers.
