Abstract

This research aims to preserve and disseminate part of the memories of the town of Ourinhos, through analysis and organization of records produced by the periodical "Voice of the People", between the years 1927 and 1937.This study is the result of an offshoot of a previous project (which is still active) - In the rails of memory and the memory of the rails: the expansion and revitalization of the Museum of History and Pedagogical Ourinhos - the announcement was approved by FAPESP / VITAE (n °. 2006/57425-0 Process). This project ended up pregnant with the creation of the Documentation Center and Memorial UNESP / Ourinhos which aims to organize, scanning, preservation and dissemination of documentation concerning the history of Ourinhos and region through a site being built and will be based in page of the institution. Our work therefore aims to contribute to the construction and consolidation of that through our research center. (AU)
