Abstract

The main goal will be working to formalize guidelines for project design of residential buildings of medium and high standard in Presidente Prudente, using steel structures. Initially be established what the parameters are used for building projects in the city, its peculiarities and urban requirements. This will be accomplished through research and survey of some buildings. Through literature review will be possible to identify the principal features of steel structures and, together with the buildings surveyed have benchmarks and provide guidelines for projects vertical buildings with steel structures. To do so will be selected three buildings constructed with reinforced concrete and verified the possibility of being executed with steel structures. The dimensions of the openings, the dimensions of beams and pillars of the dimensions will be analyzed. At the end of the work will determine the care that the architect must have to design with steel structures.
