Abstract

The aim of this study is to compare the values of the elastic modulus obtained by static and dynamic testing of two different viscosities resin cements, and compare the values of the modulus of elasticity and tensile strength of a low viscosity and high viscosity resin cement (Variolink II). To do this, 20 bars of Variolink II (Ivoclar Vivadent) low viscosity (Group 1) and 20 Variolink II high viscosity (Group 2) will be prepared, in accordance with ISO 4049 with dimensions of 25x2x2 mm. After its preparation, the samples are stored at 37 ° C in the dark until the time of testing. The topographic and chemical analysis of ceramics will be doing via Scanning Electron Microscope and Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy X-Ray. The dynamic test to evaluate the modulus of elasticity will be doing at Sonelastic equipment, with the frequencies natural method of vibration at ASTM E-1876 (2007). Since it is a non-destructive testing, samples are subjected to three-point bending test, which is the static test. The modulus is determined from the deformation generated during the test of resistance to bending. The findings will be submitted to statistical analysis compatible with the results.
