Abstract

The river channels show themselves as key elements for understanding the natural and human dynamics that occurred both in the time scale of man and nature. The change in its form shows the incidence of various processes that, when converging, act directly on the reconfiguration of the river channels and the morphology of the landscape, seeking in this way a new equilibrium stage. The features and forms derived from the constant movement of water flow are available as a major contribution to inferring the fluvial dynamics, especially by having materials with properties that allow dating techniques, such as sediments located in the plains, on terraces, and in the riverbed. Thus, the proposed study aims to identify and interpret changes in the stream typology based on Tucum dating techniques to lead (210Pb) and LOE (optically stimulated luminescence), establishing relations with the material present there and the changes caused by anthropic factors in the incidence of local stream Tucum.(AU)
