Abstract

The period of adolescence is a decisive stage of detachment that began with the birth, in which there are profound changes, physical, psychological, and social. When there is a pregnancy that is usually experienced difficulty due to the rapid passage of the status of daughter to mother, and adolescent girls are often unprepared for this fact. Thus, this study aims to investigate the psychic functioning of teenage pregnancy by examining the Human Drawing Figure (HDF), applied at different moment of gestation, depending on when it starts the process of prenatal care in the hospital, in the Division of High-Risk Pregnancy of General Hospital. The HDF will be applied individually as proposed by Machover (1949) and drawings will be analyzed in accordance with the proposals of Machover (1949), Van Kolck (1984), Buck (2003) and Hammer (1981), qualitative form, to provide an understanding of the psychodynamics of living and adolescent pregnancy.
