Abstract This research aims to analyze the role of cultural mediators subjects as "passers" of the Hussite legacy of Jan Hus and Jan Comenius, building through the dissemination of ideas, a Czech educational project between the fifteenth to seventeenth centuries. By establishing a link between Hus and Comenius, this research fills a gap in research on the work of Comenius that attaches to his written production a "Hussite tradition of religious influence." We understand, however, that the Hussite religious tradition is part of a larger whole, a cultural and educational characteristics of nationalism, appreciation of the vernacular language, autonomy of thought and action in defense of truth and education for example, as announced in our doctoral research. Extending earlier studies we developed, we propose to understand the history and ownership of the Czech educational project of the Comenius Hus by mapping of production and the ideas of cultural mediators as Jakoubek StYíbro, Petr Chelický, Jan Rockycana, XehoY, Lukáa of Prague and Jan Augusta. | |
