Abstract

The aim of this study is to evaluate the bond strength of an experimental Zirconia to a veneering porcelain and to Zirconia comercially available for use in CAD / CAM systems. The groups will be: Experimental Zirconia (EZ), Schuetz Zirconia (SZ) and Zirkonzahn Zirconia (ZZ). The blocks of pre-sintered zirconia (n = 20) will be cut into disks and taken to the oven for final sintering. Then, the agent will be applied and after the first firing, the veneering porcelain will be applied under zirconia. After the sintering, half of the groups ´sample will be subjected the shear test (n = 10) after 24 h stored in water at 37 ° C and the other half after 24h in 500 cycles of thermocycling ranging between 5 and 55 ° C with a time of depletion of 10s. After fractures, the specimens will be analyzed in Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) in order to classify the type of failure in cohesive and / or adhesive and analyze the composition of the veneering porcelain and the surface of the specimens after fracture through Spectroscopy Energy Dispersive Scanning Electron Microscopy (EED / SEM). The Kruskal-Wallis will analyze the differences in bond strengths among the groups and the results of chemical analysis (EED / SEM) will be displayed in a descriptive way. (AU)
