Abstract

The student will perform the following activities: cases (newborns with gestation age lower than 32 weeks) and control selection (full-term newborn, healthy and the same sex from that of the case); procurement of the Enlightened Free Consent Term, in writing; maternal anamnesis to obtain demographic data, clinical, gestation and parturition informations; examination to the medical record to obtain newborn birth data, clinical evolution, during internment and release conditions; newborn neurobehavioral exam to evaluate the habituation response to tactile, sound and light stimulus; data entry; statistical analysis of data and writing of the manuscript for publication.
