Abstract

In Brazil, there are many rare minerals and not completely characterizers. This is the case, for example, of the samples from the region where occurs an extraction of sand that is used in construction, the target of much research, in the city of Itaquequecetuba, in the state of São Paulo. The aim of this project is to identify and characterize by X-ray diffraction, electron microprobe chemical analysis, and optical properties, the variety contained in the mineral samples collected in this region.(AU)
