Abstract

The rehabilitation of patients who became edentulous has always been a difficult challenge in oral implantology. Most authors admit it is impossible to achieve a settlement of superstructures entirely free of tensions. Thus, also the molding techniques and models for denture implantossuportadas are still responsible for much concern and controversy among researchers. The purpose of this study is to evaluate techniques for obtaining plaster casts. Thus, three techniques are evaluated: GI - leak with type IV plaster (FujiRock - GC Corp), GII - latex tube and casting in two stages, and GIII - similar joined by metal rods and leak later. (Transferees together and attached with metal reinforcement). Will be used a prefabricated plastic model, composed of two implants simulating a fixed prosthesis after three elements. A metal structure uniting the implants and four individual trays are made in acrylic resin. Will be used plaster type IV (FujiRock - GC Corp) and acrylic resin (Pattern Resin - GC Corp). The analysis of linear distortions of the index obtained will be conducted by using an optical microscope with a magnification of 50X (Olympus Optical Co STM) and an accuracy of 0.0005 mm.(AU)
