Abstract

This project intends to analyses the representations of the Middle East and Arab world produced by the Brazilian magazine, "Veja". Analyzing the weekly magazine covers, this study wishes to understand its choices and speech by the covering this world, in different time frames in which these representations are shown. The aim is therefore to analyze how the construction of the representation of the Arab and Muslim world has been done by the magazine and how this representation is transformed over the years, seeking its ruptures and continuities in view of the attacks of September 11th.
