Abstract

The biotechnology in the animal reproduction area played a major role in recent decades for animal production and the worldwide agriculture. The artificial insemination and embryo production in vitro have brought great benefits in the sphere of breeding and optimization of zootechnical values, obtaining a better use of matrices with high genetic merit. However, for an effective success of reproductive biotechnologies it is necessary to rescue and stick to some important physiological processes for embryonic development, being the vascularization and placentation, major ones. This study aims to compare the vascular morphology from fetal cotyledons of cows artificially inseminated and cows receiving embryos produced. The experiment will be conducted at the Laboratory of Immunohistochemistry of the Department of Clinical Veterinary FMVZ - UNESP Campus Botucatu / SP, where there will be a macroscopic analysis of the fetal cotyledons, obtaining weight and measure perimeter, width and length; with a microscopic analysis by performing immunohistochemistry for Factor VIII with observation and scanning of the vascular area and the perimeter of the fragments of the cotyledons in 10 fields in the blade, and comparing the average of these values, by t test between the control group G1, which corresponds to inseminated cows, and the group of recipient cows of embryos produced in vitro G2.
